What is your cancellation policy?

The Renter may cancel this agreement, forfeiting only the non-refundable reservation deposit, if the cancellation is made at least 30 days prior to the start of the rental period. If the cancellation is made 14 to 30 days before the start of the rental period, a 50% refund will be provided. If the cancellation occurs within 14 days of the start of the rental period, only the security deposit will be refunded.

Is alcohol allowed at your hall?

The client is responsible for providing their own alcohol, which must be served exclusively by our in-house licensed bartenders, or approved bartenders who hold Host Liquor Liability Insurance. All alcohol service must be carried out by the bartender.

How is catering handled at your hall?

1835 Event Hall has preferred vendors but our clients may bring in whoever they choose as long as they are licensed and insured. If you decide to prepare and serve your own food to your guests you must do so in compliance with the Public Health Department of Ohio and Miami County. You cannot cook or prepare food inside the building. Chafer fuels and bunsen burners are strictly prohibited in accordance with the halls no open flames policy.

What is your no open flame policy?

We do not allow the use of open (real) flames inside our building. Cleints must use battery operated candles. Licensed and insured caterers are allowed to use flameless heating options to keep food product warm but not allowed to use open flames inside the building to prepare or cook food products.

How do we hold a date for our event?

To hold a date for your event, you must pay the 20% non-refundable deposit (applied to the total rental fee) and sign a contract. The final balance will be due 30 days prior to the event.

How many guests can 1835 Event Hall hold?

1835 Event Hall can hold up to 200 guests. The Speakeasy can hold up to 50 guests.

Are tables, chairs, and linens provided with the rental fee?

We provide 60” round tables and chairs for all guests. We also provide a variety of rectangular tables, bar-height round tables, and short round tables to meet the needs of your event. We also provide black linens for all tables and chairs used during the event.

Does 1835 Event Hall require a security deposit?

We require a 20% security deposit that will be added to your total rental fee. Provided no damage or additional cleaning is required, the security deposit will be returned within 14 days of the event.

Does 1835 Event Hall offer internet and wifi?

We do provide high speed internet and wifi for all of our guests and vendors.
